Indeed, the OTA is drastically needed in Congress…global warming and scarcity of resources coupled with contingency planing, flexible policy, disaster response to things such as Katrina, the largely computer run banking system pros and cons….impacts of Medicare Modernization of 2003 and its economic sustainability…..these are all issues of dire importance that are either not considered or simply addressed by conflict of interest laden lobbyists. The knowledge gap created without the OTA has cost America exponentially more than the tiny $22 million in funding that it’s budget comprised annually. A very sad fate…..
